Commission a Custom Abstract Painting
A few times a year, Hasti takes on new commissions — original abstract paintings in her current style and palette, sized to your wall and your space. If you are interested in a commission, please fill out an application below.

The Process
I will work with you to create a one-of-a-kind piece. This process includes collaborating together to gather inspiration from your space and my previous works, creating a visual document that incorporates the colours, compositions, and feelings you have in mind. Remember, no two pieces are alike — each commission is a unique work created with the same contemplative, process-driven approach I bring to all of my paintings.
Typical sizes include 12×24, 18×24, 12×12, 18×18, 24×24, 36×36, 48×48, 36×48, 30×40, and larger. Custom sizes are also available. I prioritize large-scale pieces and multi-piece projects.
A 50% deposit is required upfront, with the remaining 50% due upon completion of the project.
You can expect a 2-month turnaround once your application is approved. Please note not all applicants will be guaranteed a commission.
To ensure the most accurate vision for your commission, please be as detailed as possible in your application. Include your colour preferences, any previous works by Hasti that resonate with you (links or titles welcome), and details about you and your space that may offer insight, such as the room's lighting, existing palette, and the intended location for the piece.
Recent commissions include five works created for collectors following the Resilience exhibition at Hugomento, San Francisco — several at 48″ and larger, each developed from a shared visual document and delivered framed in natural maple.
Commission questions, answered
How much does it cost to commission a painting?
Commissioned paintings begin at $[confirm] for an 18″ × 24″ work and range to $[confirm] for 48″ × 48″ pieces. Larger works and multi-piece projects are quoted individually. A 50% deposit begins the work, with the remaining 50% due upon completion.
How does the commission process work?
We start with a conversation about your space and what you want the work to hold. From there I create a visual document that gathers palette, composition, and feeling — drawing on your room and on previous works of mine that resonate with you. Once we agree on a direction and the deposit is placed, I begin painting. You'll hear from me at the midpoint, and the finished work arrives framed and ready to hang.
How long does a commission take?
About two months from approval of the visual document. Very large pieces, custom framing, and shipping can extend that slightly — I'll give you an honest timeline before we begin.
Can you match my room or palette?
I don't copy a sofa — but I do build each commission around a palette conversation with your space. Photos of the room, its light, and the wall the painting will live on all feed the visual document. My palette is naturally warm and neutral: inks and acrylics in earth tones that sit quietly in a room and reward a second look.
Do you offer trade pricing for interior designers?
Yes. I work with interior designers, stagers, and art consultants at trade pricing, with multi-piece programs and rental arrangements available. See the Trade page or mention your firm in the application below.
